Tanari Trust youth at a program session

OUR MISSION:
COMMUNITY TRANSFORMERS

We empower youth to become God-fearing community transformers through creative and transformative programs — nurturing responsible adults who go on to transform their own society.

  1. 1997

Tanari Trust begins with 6 young boys taken through the Rites Of Passage (ROPES) at a bushy campsite in Sagana.

  2. 2020

Programs expand into urban slums and rural informal settlements through the CPR® relationships program and ROYAL for high school leavers.

  3. 2024

Camp Malta becomes a fully operational site hosting hundreds of youth annually, with Camp Oltepesi in Magadi entering development.

  4. Today

Over 100,000 youth reached, 1,000+ youth workers trained, and 80 churches running the ROPES transition program nationwide.

From 6 Boys In Sagana To A Movement

What began in 1997 as a single Rites Of Passage ExperienceS (ROPES) cohort at a bushy campsite has grown into a nationwide network of programs, campsites, and church and school partnerships — all built around three thematic areas: Transitions, Life Skills, and Sexuality.
